Labelkit LASA

Labels to improve safety in the management of LASA drugs (Look Alike Sound Alike

Developed in collaboration with some important hospitals in Lombardia (ITALY) following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health

(circular PROJECT "PHARMACY LASA AND SECURITY OF PATIENTS" PROJECT and the recommendation N.12, August 2010.)

Following the outcame of the Labelkit MCD  identification system, we have launched a new line of modular dispensing cartridges designed specifically for the problem of LASA (Look Alike Sound Alike) and High-Attention-level drugs. LASA Labelkits exist in different formats depending on the hospital's request for generic or more specific warnings that indicate the type of LASA problem.

Operators can use a dispenser consisting of 4-8 Labelkit cartridges with which they can easily label and safely identify the boxes of the LASA drugs they use. They can be applied on drug boxes, syringes, flasks and drips and exist: labels can be  permanent or removable and are provided in practical dispensing modular cartridges (Fig. 2).

They are designed in a format that limits the coverage of the writing on the original packaging to the maximum.

Fluorescent colors attract the operator's attention.

They use a removable adhesive that allows the removal from the boxes for the eventual return of drugs to the manufacturers.

They can be hung on rails or walls with practical supports with hooks.
